Re: Légion étrangère
Norm, my post reflected your former opinions on the RGJ.

Bone -your version - no

more so my post was Bone as in the correct use - Pointless, which I agree. But had to hammer home a point.

I am proud to be a Rifleman.

What regiment was you again ? nevermind being proud of the British Army was you proud of your Regiment??

Respect to your friend. When formed GROM SF instructors were trained by Navy seals and SAS. Not sure but think the Polish general public did not know of their existence until the 90s.

Training is up there with SAS and US. Without prejudice complete nutters well trained but lack the intelligence , support and prestige of other Special Forces.

Re: Légion étrangère
Bone Idle.
Bone in Military terms = pointless

But I am sure due to different counties and slang etc everyone has their own Battalion language.

For example did you use "Pin head" or "Wank Durch" in battalion life or just my battalion ?

Re: Légion étrangère
Norman, I don't want to put words in your mouth here so I'm asking a legitimate question :

Are you saying that in the grand scheme of things, the RGJ are a lame regiment?

Re: Légion étrangère

Re: Légion étrangère
" Six years of warfare could not detect a floor in their system, nor were they matched in courage or skill. These Three regiments were obviously the best that England ever had under arms. This no ideal boast" ( Lord Napier )

"And what more can I say to you Riflemen where ever there has been fighting there you have been, and wherever you have been, there you have distinguished yourself" ( King William IV )

"They have added another glorious page to the glories of the Light Division" ( Sir Winston Churchill - speaking of the Siege of Calais ).

Take the above opinions Gank of the Light Division and The Royal Green Jackets.

They are no frauds
